a descent in eight depths
The Everflame went out, and the dark came up the stairwell. You carry the last lit lantern into the Sump.
Your lantern is your eyes. Every step burns oil, and as the oil goes the light closes in around you. Find flasks, keep to the braziers, and reach the eighth depth before the wick runs dry.
